Article Submission:

Submissions: Authors should submit an electronic copy of the manuscript through Scholastica or directly to the Richmond Journal of Law and Technology at jolt@richmond.edu. By submitting a manuscript, the author implies that it is an original unpublished work.

Formatting: The text and footnotes of the manuscript should be double-spaced, with one-inch margins. All pages of the manuscript should be consecutively numbered. The footnotes should also be consecutively numbered.

Style: The manuscript should adhere to the style presented in The Bluebook: A Uniform System of Citation (Columbia Law Review et al. eds., 20th ed. or newest version available).

Citations: All citations should be placed in the footnotes, even if the text mentions the authority.

Corrections: The editors reserve the right to make corrections and alterations for grammar and syntax.

JOLT is an academic journal published entirely by students at the University of Richmond School of Law. Our members contribute regularly to our blog.We encourage our contributors to write brief and insightful discussions that focus on one or more legal issues arising from some topic related to technology

The posts must contain proper Bluebook citations and footnotes, and they typically consist of anywhere from 500 to 2,000 words, excluding footnotes.

We do not have an official content calendar, as our members submit blog posts on a regular basis. We accept outside contributions as they come in.  If you are interested in writing blog posts for JOLT, please contact us at joltblog@richmond.edu
